Sunday was a much needed day to sleep in and have fun, and I did just that. It was bitterly cold out, but extremely sunny, making it prime window-watching time for Kip.

Day 356/365
I drove out to my mom's cabin Sunday morning/day 356 to help her with some things around the place and to let Kip get a good run in. It was a beautiful day out, a nice sunny day to make the gray dismal ones that have followed even more yucky.

Day 301/365
Monday/day 301 was a slow workday, as Mondays too often are. It was at least sunny out, even though there was a bitter chill in the air. After I got home from work I bundled up and took Kip on a nice long walk. As almost always is the case, Finch was waiting in the window for us, (well, most likely me more so than Kip), to get back. It makes me smile each time I see him do it. He runs to the door when I get home from work too! He breaks about 90% of cat stereotypes, which is one of the major reasons I love him so much, I think. He plays fetch, comes when he's called, (most of the time, but dogs blow you off too), and he cuddles. Anyways, when Kip and I got back from our walk Monday I went over to my living room window and went to take a picture of Finch, when Kip noticed he was in the window and decided to say hello!

Day 243/365
I've spent this weekend back home in Ohio, since I'm not sure if I'll be able to come back for the day on Thursday for Thanksgiving or not. I spent most of Saturday cooking since some friends and I got together for a preThanksgiving dinner, but I did go outside with Kip quite a few times since the weather was so nice. I love cold weather and I love snow, but even I have to admit the sunny and unseasonably warm weather this weekend was a nice change of pace.

Day 117/365
Sorry that I'm posting yesterday's entry a day late. I was originally supposed to have yesterday, today, and tomorrow off, but ended up getting paid overtime to work yesterday and today. I worked the night shift all week to then have early starts yesterday and today, so when I got home yesterday I was out for the night. One of the events I shot yesterday was a golf tournament one of the newspapers I intern for was hosting. I know next-to-nothing about golf, but luckily a golf course regular offered to take me around in one of the carts and point all of the players out to me. I ended up taking this shot mainly for the symmetry between the two players, and the fact that I wasn't the only one who seemed to be tired of being in the hot sun all day.

Day 116/365
Tonight I covered a Friday night summer concert series in downtown Saginaw, "Friday Night Live." It had some fun parts, and some hokey ones too, but I think that comes with the festival-type-thing anyways. It was a little too hot for my liking, until the sun finally started to go down and behind the clouds.

Day 20/365
I was out running a few errands this morning and decided to take the scenic route back home. I ended up driving down Heisley towards the Headlands and alongside Mentor Marsh. I liked how the sun was hitting the tall grass and decided to pull over for a picture. At least I get to enjoy the nice weather for a few more hours before going into work at the portrait studio!
